Tether backs AIsa as strategic investor, completing seed extension round

Latest NewsPublishedOct 18, 2026

The round brings AIsa’s total funding to more than $9 million.

AIsa said it had completed its seed extension round, with Tether Capital and HIVEN joining as strategic investors.

The round brings total funding raised by the enterprise agentic AI infrastructure operator to more than $9 million. The two new investors joined Alibaba, Tribe Capital, Sumitomo Corporation, Draper Associates, Saison Capital and other backers.

“Enterprise AI agents need trusted information, useful tools and a governed way to transact,” said Jordan Liu, founder and CEO of San Francisco-based start-up, in a Friday statement. “Our vision is to build the infrastructure that enables agents to discover, access and pay for resources globally, while giving enterprises full control over permissions, spending and transactions.”

Alsa seeks to solve the challenge presented by fragmented providers, integrations and billing systems that make it difficult for enterprise AI agents to operate effectively in production and manage at scale, according to the statement.

The company’s infrastructure connects enterprise agents to external data, AI search, models, APIs, software tools and industry services, combining governed access with usage metering, billing and settlement.

Tether Capital is the independent investment arm of USDT stablecoin issuer Tether that deploys capital from Tether’s profits and excess reserves, according to the company. In June 2024, CEO Paolo Ardoino said the venture group expected to invest at least $1 billion into deals.

Tether said Thursday that the Alsa investment fits a pattern and follows its investment in NEURA Robotics, which included plans to integrate Tether’s Wallet Development Kit so machines can run AI locally and transact within predefined limits.
